DataForSEO MCP without a DataForSEO account

Whose data is it?

DataForSEO's. We don't collect SEO data of our own. When your AI asks a research question, we send the keyword, domain or URL to DataForSEO, turn the reply into a short table, and charge you credits. A call costs you twice what DataForSEO charges us.

Your Search Console data is different. It comes from Google, it's free, and it never goes to DataForSEO.

Set it up

Pick your AI app and follow the three steps. You never see an API key.

The only thing you need to paste

ClaudeChatGPTCursor and other apps

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add.
Name it SerpSidekick, paste the URL, and click Continue.
Click Connect, sign in with Google, and approve. Start a new chat and ask an SEO question.

In ChatGPT, open Plugins from the sidebar, then settings icon → MCPs → Add server.
Choose Streamable HTTP, name it SerpSidekick, paste the URL, and save.
Click Authenticate, sign in with Google, and approve. Start a new chat and ask an SEO question.

Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server.
Name it and paste the URL.
Approve the sign-in in your browser. You should see 14 tools.

Config-file clients: add the URL as a remote server. No command, no API key.

What it can't do

It doesn't reach every DataForSEO API. You get nine research tools: keywords, keyword ideas, Google results, domain overviews, ranked keywords, competitor gaps, backlinks, one-page audits and AI visibility.
One call takes up to 100 keywords, 10 Google searches or 5 domains, and returns the 25 most useful rows. Nothing pages the rest.
Keyword data is national, one country at a time. It can't measure a city.
AI visibility covers ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews only. It can't check Claude, Perplexity or Gemini.

Is it the same data as DataForSEO?

Yes, from the same API. We choose the endpoints, combine the calls, and trim the reply to what your AI needs.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in with Google. Every call runs on our account and draws on your credits.

Is it cheaper than going direct?

Per call, no: we charge twice DataForSEO's price. To start, yes: your first 500 credits are free, and the smallest top-up buys 5,000 credits.

Do credits expire?

No. There's no subscription either. You top up when you run low.
